On the first morning of Kindergarten Countdown Camp (KCC), Kylie was overwhelmed by the unfamiliar surroundings. She froze at the classroom door, unsure about taking that first step inside. With gentle encouragement from her dad, Kylie found the courage to enter the classroom and begin her KCC experience.
Surrounded by caring teachers and supportive classmates, Kylie gradually began to feel more comfortable. She formed trusting relationships with her teachers and quickly made friends. Day by day, her hesitation gave way to enthusiasm. Soon, the girl who once froze at the classroom door was waking up excited to come to KCC, ready to see her friends and take on the day.

As Kylie’s confidence grew, so did her kindergarten readiness skills. Throughout KCC, she made progress in shape recognition, fine motor skills, and book familiarity.
By meeting children where they are with caring teachers, supportive relationships, and engaging learning experiences, KCC helps prepare children for the transition to kindergarten. Kylie began the summer unsure about taking those first steps into a new classroom. Now, she is ready to step into kindergarten with confidence, eager to learn and ready to soar.
