United Way of Lake County’s annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive provides local students with backpacks filled with brand-new school supplies, helping them start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
Here’s what we achieved together in our eighth annual Stuff the Bus:
- 2,887 students received backpacks filled with brand-new school supplies.
450 teacher kits filled with essential classroom supplies were distributed to local educators.
The supplies distributed were valued at more than $140,000, representing a significant investment in Lake County students and teachers.
For many families, back-to-school season brings financial strain. Our goal is simple: help remove that barrier so students can start the year equipped, confident, and ready to learn. Teacher kits also help ease the burden on educators who often purchase classroom supplies with their own money.
Whether you gave your time, donated supplies, made a financial gift, or helped spread the word, you made a meaningful difference. Because of you, thousands of local students received the supplies they need to start the school year ready to learn, and hundreds of teachers received additional resources for their classroom.
Thank You to Our Stuff the Bus Supporters
